Fall Skin Elasticity Care: Differences Between Thermage FLX, Oligio, Ulthera, and Shrink Universe

As autumn arrives, dropping temperatures and dry air can cause skin to lose moisture and elasticity. Interest in non-surgical lifting procedures has grown as a result. The four most prominent treatments — Thermage FLX, Oligio, Ulthera, and Shrink Universe — differ in their principles and characteristics.
According to a dermatologist at Apgujeong ReYeonK, Thermage FLX uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to increase collagen density and improve skin elasticity. Because it does not reduce fat, there is no risk of facial hollowing, and a single session lasts 1 to 2 years.
Oligio uses monopolar radiofrequency to deliver thermal energy deep into the skin, stimulating collagen production for a lifting effect. It can be performed without anesthetic cream and has a shorter treatment time.
Ulthera precisely delivers ultrasound energy to the SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) layer for a fundamental lifting effect. However, those with more fat in the cheek area should be aware of potential facial hollowing.
Shrink Universe uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) to simultaneously stimulate the skin and fascial layers. Its various depth cartridges allow customization to individual skin conditions.
The specialist emphasized, "All four treatments have their strengths and weaknesses; the right choice depends on your skin condition and goals. The most important step is to receive an accurate diagnosis before selecting a treatment."
