VASER2 uses ultrasound to selectively liquefy only the targeted fat before removal. Because surrounding vessels, nerves and connective tissue are disturbed comparatively less, damage and the risk of adhesion can be reduced. Results and recovery vary from person to person.

If the fat volume is modest and skin elasticity is good, liposuction alone can reveal the jawline. However, the longer the fat has been sagging, the more loose skin remains — without fixation after removal the submental area can look slack.

Bruising and swelling usually ease within a week to a level that does not interfere with daily life. The contour takes 2–3 months to settle fully, and recovery speed varies between individuals.

Depending on the area and extent, options range from local anaesthesia to sedation. When sedation is required it is performed only in an operating room equipped for emergency response, never in a treatment room.
