EyeThera — How Eye Lifting Works: Results and Downtime
Why Eye Ultherapy is done separately, and when swelling settles and results appear

Some patients come in after having Ultherapy elsewhere and being told, "The eye area wasn't included." That is correct. Face Ultherapy covers from the temples to under the chin; the eye area, eyelids and brows are treated separately with Eye Ultherapy. Let me start with why.
The eye area cannot use face settings as they are
The skin around the eyes is the thinnest on the face, with the eyeball directly beneath. Face depth and energy settings must not be used there unchanged. So Eye Ultherapy resets depth and intensity to eye-area standards and proceeds after protecting the eye. Because the eye area is hard to reverse, we never push the settings.
For the same reason, Thermage uses the Eye tip (0.25 cm²) around the eyes, and Density has its own eye tip. It is no coincidence that every device has a separate eye version.
Sagging and fine lines are different layers
Eye Ultherapy lifts sagging in the deep layer around the eyes. Eyelids that have dropped and make the eyes look smaller, or drooping outer corners, belong here.
If fine lines are the concern, Eye Ultherapy is not the answer. ReYeonK's EyeThera programme divides the layers into Virtue Eye (dermis) · Eye Ultherapy (deep layer) · Eye Botox (surface). Occasionally, for patients with little tissue on the upper eyelid, we replace Eye Ultherapy with Eye Thermage.
Swelling and recovery
Downtime is usually about a day. There may be redness and slight puffiness around the eyes right after treatment, and makeup is often possible from the next day. We apply plenty of anaesthetic cream first; because the eye area is sensitive, some people feel more than they do on the face. If the intensity is hard to bear, we do not push through — we readjust the intensity and order.
When do results show, and how long do they last?
Eye Ultherapy results appear gradually over 4 to 12 weeks as collagen builds. It is not a treatment that transforms immediately. When Eye Botox is included, fine-line changes show first within 2 to 7 days, so the programme combines a fast change with a slow one.
Results last 6 to 12 months. Eye Botox is shorter at 3 to 4 months, so some patients repeat only that in between.
The usual composition is Eye Ultherapy 200 shots + Virtue Eye 300 shots + Eye Botox. It is perfectly fine to have it on the same day as face Ultherapy.
